Maral Nakashian
Maral Nakashian, CPA is an Officer in the Firm’s Tax Services Group. She holds an M.S.T Degree from American University in Washington, D.C.; a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland in College Park, graduating cum laude; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from American University in Beirut, Lebanon.
Maral spent the first eight years of her career in the banking industry where she provided a variety of investment services. During her ten years in public accounting she has specialized in both the automotive and real estate industries, currently focusing on the federal and state taxation of real estate enterprises. As part of this focus, she manages clients’ accounting and taxation needs, and leads the firm’s cost segregation services function.
As an active participant in the accounting profession and her community, Maral is a member of Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW), serving on the Finance Committee. In addition, she volunteers at her church and is a member and former treasurer of the Armenian Relief Society. She has also provided articles and expert commentary for topics relating to real estate and taxation.
